About Us

Lynn Ross Homes was founded on the pursuit of a dream. Following Stu’s lifelong passion, we began building homes in 1992 after raising our three children. We are Stu & Char Jorgensen, and our small company has a hardworking, dedicated team.

We have built more than 125 homes and treated every one as if it were our own. Our homes are in West Des Moines, Clive, Adel Johnston and Earlham. Each Lynn Ross home is custom tailored and one of a kind.

In addition to our years of experience, there is also a devotion to quality. We work one-on-one with our clients from the initial design through their closing day. Every home begins with attention to our clients’ ideas, needs and dreams.

Working along side our family members and keeping with the idea that hands on = quality control, just a few select sub-contractors that we know and trust, are hired. Our son, Kyle, is our trim carpenter. Our daughter, Lee, is our secretary and bookkepper.  Our son-in-law, Todd,  is our framer and sider. Each member of our team is creative and gifted, contributing unique skills to the homes we build.

The homebuilding business has been good to us, but we have intentionally kept our business small. Great satisfaction comes from the hands-on work and the relationships with our clients. We personally follow up on warranty repairs for one full year after closing.  In addition, clients are welcome to call us for help or advise well beyond the one year warranty.
